Wat da shell??? Why is Xkit’s 1-click reblog thingy suddenly making my page crash every time I try using it now?!?
EDIT: OK, did a little experimenting, and it turns out it’s only when I’m highlighting a large group of tags in the 1-click reblog window that the dam thing suddenly throws Chome’s fakking “aw snap!” thing at me. But seriously, what the heck’s that all about???
when the smart kid gets a bad grade
when couples at school break up
fights over facebook comments
girls crying over their school pictures
can we all just talk about how sadistic we are
if tumblr is so ”anti-bullying” then why the heck is this kind of stuff still going around
you don’t???? always know the factors of why these things happened, they could be serious
and the people could really be broken up
”popular” and ”smart” kids have feelings too

I personally like having the word “bromance,” it describes a non-sexual, platonic romance, which we don’t really talk about a lot in our over sexualized society, even though they were common and accepted in centuries past. It’s been somewhat helpful to me, personally, there are a lot of ships that people ship that I don’t, even though it’s obvious that the couple in question deeply loves each other. “Bromance” nicely describes those relationships: they love each other, are soulmates, etc, but I just cannot imagine them having sex/getting married/etc. Acknowledging that relationships don’t have to be sexual to be close/romantic/whatever is not “queer erasure.” If we want to get into the oppression olympics, I can claim that they are committing asexuality erasure by not acknowledging that not all relationships have to be sexual.
“Queer romance” sounds like, well, a romance involving queer people, not a romantic friendship.—
Snow: Tumblr always tackling issues that no one else thinks or cares about.
As a gay man, I’m not offended by “Bromance” at all, and encourage everyone to keep using the term. It’s cute and makes straight guys uncomfortable because of the “are they or aren’t they?” aspect. No one is getting “erased.” A Bromance is just a more masculinized version of “Best Friend Forever.” (BFF) I’m pretty sure if a guy used the term BFF, SJ women would be angry at them for appropriating “their” term.
Fuck that’s a lot of quotes. This argument is stupid.
Last thing, have you never watched any gay porn before? Do you know that a “Bromance” is two or more straight-acting gay guys fucking each other’s brains out, usually in a fraternity or military setting ? It’s practically it’s own subgenre in the porn industry. And it’s fucking hot.
I have to back up my bud bookofbaitnate on this one. A friend of mine one said something very profound to me. “Straight people have to be accepting of us, but that means we have to be accepting of them.” Sometimes people need to create new terms in order to understand an idea better. Or they change a term that already exists to better represent something in a world where other terms don’t do it justice. I think bromance is one of these examples. Bromance isn’t just a romance, but at the same time isn’t quite brothers. I’ve always seen it as the act of loving a guy as a brother, but just a tad bit more. It’s similiar to how females will call their other female friends “girlfriends”. It doesn’t mean they are all lesbian, it’s just a term to say that they hung out with friends that they are so close to it’s almost like a big relationship. It’s part of our dialect, but also just how the human brain works. Frankly, if straight guys using the term bromance helps the gay community get more support by our dude allies, then I am perfectly fine with that. Let’s not forget that acceptance goes both ways people.

wreck-it-mikey replied to your post: wreck-it-mikey liked your post: I found this…
For some weird reason it didn’t appear in the tag until when I had checked it then.

Huh, that’s odd…
Oh well. At least you saw it.
